Caleta de Vélez is a pretty fishing town in the southern part of Andalucía, in a convenient position,the mid-coastal point of the Axarquia, 45 km east of Málaga, 20 km west of Nerja with superb beaches, an
impressive marina and the 18-hole Baviera golf course. 
Caleta de Velez is both the local fishing port for Velez Malaga and a pleasure marina for motor cruisers and sailboats. The marina is situated 2 kms East of Torre del Mar - a 20 minutes walk along the seafront promenade. With an entrance of 80 metres width and a depth of 5 to 6 metres, the harbour has a sandy
anchorage of about 4 metres depth inside the harbour, and offers 200 berths between the 8 and 20 metres length, all of them on rental basis.
